The final Capital League game of the season saw Hornchurch run out comfortable winners against a Brimsdown side who played in white and black stripes, instead of the more usual black and white stripes. Hornchurch kicked towards the windmill end in the first half and after a good cross from Nicky Driver went narrowly wide, they took the lad when ROSS WALL scored with a first time left footed drive from the edge of the area. Brimsdown’s closest attempt was a free kick by Jamie O’Donoghue which just cleared the cross bar. Hornchurch continued to have the better of the play in the first half and Ross Wall and Asser Lutu, on trial from Wycombe Wanderers, both went close to increasing the lead. A long throw from Billy Coyne created havoc in the goalmouth before Alan Buck gathered the ball almost on the goal line. And Ross Wall made a good run at goal before being tackled on the edge of the area.

Hornchurch went two up when ASSER LUTU finished off a fine solo run with a low volley from the edge of the area. Alan Buck made a good save from Ross Wall who had soloed in from the left, and a similar run shortly afterwards again brought a good save from Alan Buck. The third goal came after a good build up from midfield which enabled Jake Dallison to open up some space on the left, before he turned the ball inside to Ross Wall, who quickly glided it through to ASSER LUTU who calmly stroked the ball home.
